Someone Like You...

I feel I'm searching
Looking always for someone,
someone to love,
someone who loves me back,
someone who wants to be with the real me,
the me that no one but he will know,
someone who will allow me to know him,
someone who calls just to say hello,
someone to comfort and to hold,
someone who respects and cares for me,
someone who will tell me when something is bothering him,
someone that can make me laugh even on the worst of days,
someone who's face lights up every time I enter the room,
someone like you.

Smile Virus

Smiling is infectious, you catch it like the flu.
When someone smiled at me today, I started smiling, too.

I passed around the corner and someone saw my grin
when he smiled, I realized I'd passed it on to him!

I thought about that smile and then realized its worth,
a single smile, just like mine, could travel round the earth.

So, if you feel a smile begin, don't leave it undetected,
let's start an epidemic quick, and get the world infected!

I Wish

I wish there was a place for me

Where all the stars shine
And life was treasured as a valuable
A price far more than gold.

Where children played and sang of joy
Of what love meant to each
A mountain higher and steep to climb
But not far out of reach.

And in this place the days were as infinity
The nights crept by unnoticed
For happiness was an abundant reservoir
And peace was its caretaker and hostess.

So much for my dreams or desires
It's hard for me to visualize or insist
For what I speak of in terms of life
Is not much more than, a wish.

I miss you,
I miss how you smile at me,
I miss how you say my name,
I miss your pretty eyes,
I miss your smile,

When I'm feeling blue,
Your smiles bright up my day,
And
What I miss the most is seeing you,
